Facts Are Stupid Things

I tried to watch CNN for the election coverage last night. Really. But I gave up pretty damn quickly.

They had so many anchors and analysts that NBC's Sunday Night Football pregame show seems underpopulated by comparison. And then there was that stupid Princess Leia hologram they did for some reason.

Really, I'm serious, does anyone know why that was necessary.

This all a lead up to this video. I missed it last night, because I had given up on it by then. But apparently Campbell Brown and John King, who were supposed to be the Congressional experts last night -- I think that was their role -- apparently aren't such experts after all.

In case you don't know what's wrong with the clip, it's simple. The last time one political party had a majority in both houses of Congress while also having the President in office was in, wait for it...

November 2006.

Remember all of that uproar over the Dems taking control of the Senate and the House?

Like I said, facts are a stupid thing. But really. These people should know better. That's what they're being paid for.

They lost me at that one chick who was "beamed into" the studio via "hologram" like Princess Leia.

"Help me Obama! You're my only hope!"
