New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was shot in the right thigh on Friday night, and went to the hospital soon thereafter. Burress, who was already going to miss tomorrow's game because of a hamstring injury, may now be out the rest of the season.
The shooting occurred in a ritzy nightclub, Latin Quarter, located inside the Radisson Lexington Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Neither the club, the player, the NFL, the hotel, or the police are offering much more in terms of information.
What is not known is whether Pacman Jones of the Dallas Cowboys was present at the time, or if anyone was making it rain. However, the shooting is supposedly being referred to as accidental.
