I just noticed that the Houston Aeros have recalled defenseman John Adams up from the Corpus Christi IceRays, which leads me to believe that defenseman Clayton Stoner, who injured his wrist in a fight last week, might be out for a few more games.
What's also interesting is that, even without Stoner, the Aeros were dressing seven defenseman every night and playing Mitch "Feel The" Love up at forward. But seeing as how the Minnesota Wild are supposedly only suiting up five defenseman tonight because of a family emergency involving Kim Johnsson, I can't help but wonder if, despite the claim the Aeros can't get anyone to Calgary in time because of travel, that the Aeros are, in fact, having one of their blue liners called up to Minnesota.
If so, I'd say that Maxim Noreau best deserves the shot, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Wild give Tomas Mojzis another shot at proving he can't make it in the NHL.
UPDATED: Apparently the Wild have called John Scott up to the team, but Scott missed his connection in Minneapolis and can't make it to Calgary in time for the game -- it also appears that because of the Aeros traveling from Peoria to Houston today that nobody else can make it to Calgary in time for tonight's Wild/Flames game. But it appears that Adams is replacing Scott on the roster.
