Aeros Roster Move Coming?

There's nothing out of the Aeros, or Minnesota yet, but...

Wild forward Andrew Brunette was injured in last night's game with the Anaheim Ducks. The Wild travel to Chicago today for a game with the Blackhawks tomorrow night. They practice today at 3;00. And forward Craig Weller will not be accompanying the Wild to Chicago. So that Wild are short at forward.

If Brunette is unable to play, and Michael Russo makes it clear that the injury looked pretty bad -- the Wild aren't saying much of anything -- then somebody will be making the move up from Houston to the Wild. Russo is clear that it won't be Benoit Pouliot, so it would be someone else from the forward ranks.

Might first guess would be that Corey Locke would get the call. He's got speed and skill and can get the puck in the net. Ryan Hamilton could get the call, but Hamilton is subject to injuries, and I'm not sure the Wild need another injury-prone player on their roster. It's also possible that Danny Irmen or Jesse Schultz could get the call.

Let's give Mitch Love his one game in the NHL! :)

And do not forget John Scott is much better as a forward :P (That's not going to happen though)

Irmen? Really?

I'm pretending I don't know who Locke is so maybe they won't take him. "Who? Locke? With an 'e'? Nope, doesn't ring a bell. Okay, call back anytime!"
