NBC essentially said yesterday that as soon as John Madden retires Cris Collinsworth will be taking his place in the broadcast booth. And if you ask me, this moment couldn't come soon enough.
I'm tired of the whole Madden shtick, and I've been tired of it for over a decade now. Collinsworth, however, isn't about shtick. He just gives analysis. And damn good analysis at that.
So, Madden, how about doing us favor. Retire already. And take Al Michaels with you. Please? I'd surely appreciate it.
