So I went to the tryouts for the Houston Aeros cheerleaders yesterday -- the Aero Dynamics. And while I'm not sure what I was really expecting, I didn't think there was anyway that I could be bored by attractive women wearing skimpy/tight clothing.
I was wrong.
It was about six hours of nothingness broken up by shorts spurts of movement -- kind of like football. There was the first hour-plus which consisted of the ladies signing up, filling out forms, and getting their photos taken. Then there came the part where the 30 some odd ladies came out and did a solo dance after first answering questions about why they wanted to be a cheerleader or what they liked about hockey or something like that. Then much later they were taught a dance and broken into teams, and then more dancing was done, and then winners were named.
Now it was interesting watching the dances, I'll give you that. But the questioning, the paper work, the milling about while preparing for the next part of the process just dragged the thing out and made it seem endless. So maybe this means my illusions about attractive women in skimpy clothing have been shattered....Oh who am I kidding. I'll get a good article for the mothership out of this, and come this time next year, if I get the chance to watch again, I probably will because, after all, I'm a sucker for attractive women.
And you know, if anyone needs a judge, I'm always up for that.
