I wasn't going to get into politics for post 1501, but damn, I saw this, and I couldn't resist, because suddenly, things just made so much more sense.
Apparently, economist Arthur Laffer, the "genius" behind supply-side economics, is not aware that Medicare and Medicaid are government run programs. Because in this clip he warns people that those programs will be destroyed when they're taken over by the government.
I guess it's this kind of thinking that made supply-side economics possible. And it's further proof that a brain is a terrible thing to waste.
